about us

Green4Clean specialises in cleaning, separating and binding agents for road construction and the offshore industry. A clear conviction takes centre stage: Cleanliness and safety must not come at the expense of the environment. This conviction gave rise to the trademark of our product range - the Antistick ECO range based on rapeseed oil and the concept of bio-based, biodegradable cleaning chemicals for demanding industrial applications.

From specialist to part of a strong network

Over the years, Green4Clean has positioned itself as a specialist for cleaning and release agents in asphalt construction and the maritime industry. The focus was on three principles that still characterise our work today:

  • Practical product development - Formulations that really work in the building yard, in the asphalt mixing plant and on board.
  • Consistent substitution - Wherever possible, replacing chemicals that require labelling with bio-based, safe alternatives.
  • Direct counselling - Product selection based on the specific application, not the catalogue.

To the 1 January 2026 Green4Clean was founded by the Eco-Nova GmbH and integrated into the Group. Background and details of the takeover can be found on our page Takeover 2026.

What the Eco-Nova connection means

The integration into Eco-Nova GmbH brings concrete advantages for our customers:

  • Over 30 years of R&D experience in industrial cleaning chemicals flow directly into the further development of Green4Clean products.
  • Expanded product portfolioFor specific applications for which no standard product yet exists in the Green4Clean range, we check together with Eco-Nova whether a suitable solution is available in the extended range.
  • Stronger purchasing and logistics baseMore stable availability even in phases of volatile commodity markets.
  • More professional expertise in substance lawMSDS, REACH registrations and CLP assessments are created from an established process.
  • Continuity in brand and product rangeThe Green4Clean brand will be retained, as will the established products and contacts. The takeover changes the structures in the background - not the brand experience in the foreground.

Frequently asked questions

Will Green4Clean remain a separate brand after the takeover?

Yes, the Green4Clean brand will continue to operate as an independent brand under Eco-Nova GmbH. Existing products, order numbers and contact persons will be retained.

The established products will be continued in their current formulation. Planned further developments are geared towards customer needs, not changes to the brand.

Existing conditions are initially adopted in full. Adjustments - if any - are agreed individually with the customer at an early stage.

There is a clear development philosophy behind every Antistick ECO release agent, every Bituclean cleaner and every liquid oil binding agent: We develop products that work in real-life construction yards and on-board applications - not just in the laboratory. With the integration into Eco-Nova GmbH, our product development can draw on over 30 years of experience in industrial cleaning chemicals.

Our understanding of development

We follow four guidelines that determine every stage of development:

  1. Application reality beats laboratory elegance. A formulation has to prove itself in a building yard where machines, weather and personnel are not ideal. This characterises our tests right from the start.
  2. Substitution with a sense of proportion. Bio-based solutions are our standard approach, but not at any price. Where a conventional formulation is technically or contractually required, we also develop and supply it - cleanly documented.
  3. Material and material compatibility has priority. Paint, rubber and coatings must survive the next season. Aggressive formulations that work in the short term but cause long-term damage are out of the question.
  4. Safety data sheets and substance legislation are not an appendage. REACH registration, CLP classification and MSDS are included in the development process right from the start - not imposed afterwards.

How a new product is created

Phase 1 - Clarification of requirements

The initiative almost always comes from the field: a user describes a specific requirement that cannot be solved with the existing range or can only be solved with compromises. We record the application, the required performance data and the regulatory framework conditions.

Phase 2 - Draft wording

A formulation concept is drawn up in consultation with Eco-Nova-R&D. Material, safety and substance law aspects are examined in parallel.

Phase 3 - Laboratory and practical test

Initial samples are characterised in the laboratory: Viscosity, flash point, compatibility with common materials. If the sample proves itself, it goes into a controlled practical test - on a real construction site, in a real building yard, on board or in the harbour.

Phase 4 - Safety data sheet and release

After successful practical testing, the safety data sheet is created, the CLP classification is documented and - where necessary - REACH conformity is verified.

Phase 5 - Market launch

The product will be included in the standard range. Data sheet, MSDS and instructions for use are made available on the product page.

Phase 6 - Continuous care

We also monitor the product after its launch: user feedback, changes in the raw materials and new regulatory requirements lead to updates of the data sheets and - if necessary - the formulation.

Frequently asked questions

Are all products formulated in-house?

The core formulations of our product range originate from our own development - today embedded in the R&D structure of Eco-Nova GmbH. For special projects that go beyond the standard range, we check together with Eco-Nova whether an existing Eco-Nova formulation is suitable or whether a customised development makes sense.

Usually within one working day. You can request the MSDS directly via the contact form or by e-mail to our office.

Yes, we are regularly looking for pilot users for new products or substitution projects. Please contact our application engineering department if you are interested.

Changes in substance legislation (REACH, CLP, ADR, WGK) are systematically monitored by the Eco-Nova Group's substance legislation function. Relevant changes lead to the updating of the safety data sheets and - if necessary - the formulation.

At Green4Clean, you don't talk to a hotline, but to people who know your product range and your industry. On this page you will find the people responsible for sales, application technology and management with direct contact details. Write to the right person instead of going through a routing system - this saves time on both sides.
