Description of the

Bituclean Extra is a high-performance, plant-based cleaner formulated in an aqueous matrix. It dissolves bitumen, tar, asphalt residues, oil, grease and soot and completely replaces classic solvent-based cold cleaners in most construction yard, asphalt mixing plant and workshop applications.

The key advantage lies in the interplay of Effect and compatibilityVegetable surfactants and solubilisers penetrate the bitumen structure, loosen the bond to the substrate and enable removal with high pressure, a cloth or brush. At the same time, the product is gentle on paintwork, rubber and most plastics found in building yards. Free of solvent odour, free of hazardous substance symbols and biodegradable - Bituclean Extra is the obvious answer when cleaning chemicals need to work without creating new problems in storage and occupational safety.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Storage location: Protect from frost and direct sunlight.
Storage temperature: 5-30 °C recommended.
Protective equipment: Chemical-resistant protective gloves, safety goggles when mixing concentrated solutions.
Waste water: Cleaning waste water contains dissolved contaminants (bitumen, oil) - pass through sludge trap or oil separator and dispose of in accordance with local regulations.

Frequently asked questions FAQ

Does Bituclean Extra completely replace a solvent-based cold cleaner?
Yes, in most applications. Water-based cleaners often require a little more contact time, but are CLP-free, ADR-free, VOC-free and more gentle on paint and rubber. For very old, hardened bitumen residues, a longer contact time or a second pass may be advisable, depending on the substrate.
When used correctly, no. Bituclean Extra is gentle on paintwork, rubber and most plastics used in asphalt construction. We recommend a test cleaning on an inconspicuous area before the first extensive use on very sensitive special paints.
Bituclean Extra itself is biodegradable - the dissolved contaminants (bitumen, tar, oil, grease) are not. Cleaning waste water must therefore be channelled through a sludge trap or oil separator and disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Specific instructions can be found in the safety data sheet.
