Description of the

Antistick ECO 150 is the standard variant of our plant-based release agent range and the universal product for most applications in asphalt construction. The formulation is based on rapeseed oil derivatives from European production and is consistently bio-based.

ECO 150 is in no way inferior to classic hydrocarbon-based release agents in terms of effectiveness: hot mixes reliably roll off, drums, screeds and tools remain clean and consumption is comparable to conventional products. At the same time, almost all of the regulatory effort that is currently associated with mineral oil-based release agents is eliminated - no hazardous substance labelling, no transport of hazardous goods, no noticeable VOC exposure in the workplace.

Available in: 200 L drum 1,000 litre IBC containers

Advantages

Your advantages at a glance:

  • 100 % plant-based active ingredient base (rapeseed oil derivatives)
  • No hazardous substance labelling according to CLP
  • No dangerous goods according to ADR - free transport in the building yard day
  • Flash point > 150 °C - Safe handling of hot mixes
  • VOC-free to low-VOC - no odour pollution in halls
  • Biodegradable - no long-lasting environmental risk in the event of spillages
  • Gentle on paint, rubber and common plastics
  • More skin-friendly than mineral oil-based release agents
  • Direct 1:1 replacement for classic hydrocarbon-based release agents in most applications

Application

Antistick ECO 150 is used in asphalt construction in the following areas:

  • Tandem rollers and rubber wheel rollers (drums, tyres)
  • Road paver (screed, spreading auger, tamper, material intake)
  • Transport skips and lorry bodies
  • Asphalt cooker and thermal container (outside)
  • Hand tools (shovels, rakes, tampers, trowels)
  • Moulds and formwork in concrete block and interlocking block construction

Processing instructions

Order type: Spraying (manual or automatic) or brush application with tools.
Dilution: Use undiluted as standard.
Spray quantity: Depending on the system and substrate, approx. 5-15 ml per m² per application.
Recommended application temperature: 5-30 °C ambient temperature.
Repetition: If necessary, reapply after a long service life or multiple loads.
Miscibility: Do not mix with hydrocarbon-based release agents - use up remaining stocks separately before conversion and flush the system.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Storage location: Dry, protected from frost, protected from direct sunlight.
Storage temperature: 5-30 °C recommended. If stored below 0 °C for longer periods, the product may thicken or become slightly cloudy - ready for use again after warming to room temperature and brief stirring.
Durability: See label (typically 24 months from production if stored properly).
Personal protective equipment: Chemical-resistant protective gloves, safety goggles for spray application.
Disposal: Dispose of residues and containers in accordance with local regulations.

Frequently asked questions FAQ

Does Antistick ECO 150 directly replace our previous hydrocarbon-based release agent?
Yes, in most asphalt construction applications. ECO 150 is on a par with classic hydrocarbon-based release agents in terms of its release effect and significantly reduces the burden on storage and transport logistics. For the changeover, we recommend using up old residues and cleaning the system thoroughly before adding the new product.
ECO 150 can be used in standard spraying systems without any problems. For automatic systems with particularly fine nozzles, we recommend the low-viscosity variant Antistick ECO 150 LV as an alternative. Before the first large-scale application, it is worth testing the original product - we provide free test samples.
The product may thicken or become slightly cloudy if stored below 0 °C for longer periods. This is reversible: after warming to room temperature and stirring briefly, it is ready for use again. We recommend storage in an area protected from frost, ideally between 5 and 30 °C.
